White throne is the central “civilized” hub of the deck. This grand city is home to a massive crystal spire known as the throne of ice. Little is know about the creation of the spire but historians and rumors alike speak of a great battle between the great dragon guardian of this realm and a brave hero attempting to free his people. He spawned a portal out of this world which still remains in tatters floating above the spire but was shutdown by the dragon before he could finish.
The cities ruling elite, the Jadawigs, are a coven of powerful ice witches who work tirelessly to maintain the remnants of the portal. A strange side effect of the portals magic is that the entire city is encased in a large antimagic field, and plunged into an eternal winter. Monsterous creatures such as trolls, goblins, ratfolk and orcs live in an uneasy harmony with humans, halflings and others. Some half-elemental races are even common within the city walls. The fey however are few and far between as wars with feral tribes of elves and gnomes have left a poor impression on the citizens of Whitethrone.
